Program Director

As a Program Director, Sarah leads implementation of Springboard’s literacy programs at schools across the country. She is honored to work with partners to use Springboard to supercharge their students’ reading progress and build community between teachers and families. Before joining the Springboard team in 2020, Sarah taught K-9 at schools in Connecticut and Japan, and has worked with hundreds of English Language Learners of all ages. For three years she coordinated English and Spanish language programs for international NGO Peace Boat and was a steering committee member of the Nobel Prize-winning International Coalition Against Nuclear weapons. She believes language is a bridge that connects people across different communities and backgrounds, and is passionate about supporting and empowering ELLs and their families. As a big fan of folklore and spooky stories, her favorite childhood book is Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark by Alvin Shwartz.
