Program Director

Nicole’s passion for education and working with children, particularly in the realm of literacy, informs her educational and career background. After graduating with a BA in Elementary / Special Education from Providence College, she continued her education at the Teachers College, Columbia University where she graduated with an MA in the Reading Specialist Program. Nicole then taught at a Charter School Manhattan as a First Grade Teacher for five years. She believes all students deserve access to a high quality education with engaging resources that build confidence and competence. Among other school based roles taken on to support her growth as an educator, Nicole has worked seasonally with Springboard as a Teacher, Site Leader, Cluster Leader, Consultant, and Professional Development Facilitator. Her favorite book to read to students is The Girl Who Never Made Mistakes, which illustrates the importance of moving forward despite mistakes or hardships!
