Lucy Clark

Program Director

Lucy is an avid adventurer who is as passionate about early literacy as she is about spending time outdoors. She has taught in both public and independent schools in the Bay Area and will always have a soft spot for kindergarten. Lucy holds a B.S. in Conservation and Resource Studies from UC Berkeley where she tailed her courses to focus on environmental education, ecology and ethics. After studying abroad in Ghana and teaching outdoor education for three years, she went back to school to complete her teaching credential and M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction from the Bay Area Teacher Training Institute. Lucy’s favorite childhood book is The Sneetches by Dr. Seuss because it teaches the moral of celebrating who you are and treating all people with respect.
