Lisa Fyfe is a former educator who brings her passion for early childhood literacy to Springboard Collaborative. While working as a first grade teacher at a low income school, she learned the value of high-quality instruction and family engagement and strove to incorporate those key components into her teaching practices. She most recently worked at an EdTech company that focused on using technology to keep students safe, both online and offline. She is excited to draw upon her past educational and sales experiences to advance Springboard’s mission to close the literacy achievement gap.
A lover of all books, one of her early favorites was a wordless picture book called Good Dog Carl by Alexandra Day. During her time as a teacher, she came to recognize the power of wordless picture books in how they make the act of reading accessible to all students.
