Program Director

Jade Wallace, Ed.D. has devoted her career to supporting children, families, and teachers. Before joining Springboard, Jade was a part of Mayor Kenney’s administration in Philadelphia working to help implement the city-wide PHLpreK program. Jade has served as a classroom teacher, school leader, business owner, and adjunct faculty member. Jade has always had a passion for ensuring that children and families have access to equitable access to educational opportunities. Her interest in collecting children’s books began when she had her first child. She has accumulated hundreds of books that have been read by all of her children and now has been passed down to her granddaughter. Jade completed her Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems at La Salle University, Master of Education in Teaching and Learning at Lock Haven University, and Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Management at Drexel University. Jade lives in the northeast section of Philadelphia with her family. One of her favorite books is The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. This book tells the story of a caterpillar that eats a variety of food and becomes a butterfly. This book is a reminder that it takes time to transition into the most beautiful version of yourself.
