Associate Program Director
Dorothy Gray is committed to transformational education for all students and is a proud lifelong learner. She has spent most of her career supporting students in the Bay Area through roles in various nonprofit organizations. She is a graduate of Occidental College where she earned her BA in Sociology with an emphasis in educational equity. During college she worked as a teacher’s aid in Los Angeles Unified School District in Kindergarten and TK classes. She spent 2016 in Malaysia as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant and learned the value of cultural exchange for teachers and students. Most recently she served as the Director of Programs at Aspire Education Project in Oakland to support 1000 students at over 40 schools. Dorothy is excited to continue to contribute to the student success in partnership with Springboard Collaborative’s amazing staff, schools, and families. When Dorothy was young, her dad read aloud with her every day and their favorite book was No Good in Art by Miriam Cohen.
