Desiree Marks

she/her/hers

Senior Director, Program Design

Desiree is passionate about bridging educational resources with communities, schools, and families who need it the most. She began her career as a special education teacher in the Bronx. Upon recognizing the limitations that school systems have, she transitioned into the nonprofit world, where she worked to design and implement programs that maximize out-of-school time for students and families. She has trained staff and led teams to strengthen high school academic intervention, case management, STEM and literacy exposure, social-emotional learning, and family engagement. She earned her B.A. in Psychology and her M.A. in Urban Education. She began her tenure at Springboard Collaborative as the Bay Area Program Director. Now, she is the Senior Director of Program Design of Partner Success, and she supports Program Directors nationally with the planning and implementation of all programs. Her favorite childhood book was The Rainbow Fish because it taught her that you can use your individuality to enhance the lives of others.
