Danielle Mancinelli

Danielle is a life-long education advocate and lover of books. She started her career as a second grade teacher in New Orleans as a Teach for America Corps member and since then has served as a Reading Specialist, an Early Literacy Specialist with the Children’s Literacy Initiative, and an Assistant Principal of Instruction. Danielle was a member of the Leadership Philadelphia’s 2018 “Connectors and Keepers” class, appeared on Billy Penn’s “Who’s Next” list of education leaders, and participated in New Leaders Council. Danielle holds a Master’s degree in Reading from Saint Joseph’s University, with undergraduate degrees in English and Political Science from Temple University. She also is a PA Certified Reading Specialist and a Yoga Alliance certified yoga teacher.  Danielle is enthusiastic about empowering students through written word and committed to ensuring strong schools for all students in Philadelphia. Her favorite children’s book is I am Enough, which reminds us of the infinite possibility within ourselves.
