Alexander Stone

Director of Strategic Initiatives

Alex secured his first job, at the age of 14, as a summer camp counselor, at the R.W. Brown Community Center, in North Philadelphia, where he developed a love for mentoring and tutoring children. As a dedicated advocate of educational rights and social equality, Alex served has as a Comprehensive Student Assistant Process liaison for the School District of Philadelphia and a Director of Student Support for the Drexel University School of Education. Both positions support school age children, who experience barriers to learning. Alex is a graduate of Shaw University, where he secured a degree in Intermediate Education. Alex is the proud father of three children, and one beautiful granddaughter, named Summer. His favorite childhood book was The Giving Tree, which taught him the power of giving and to never take anything or anyone for granted.
