Stephanie Sharp

Stephanie Sharp is a Program Officer at Overdeck Family Foundation, a national funder that aims to open doors for every child in the U.S. by measurably enhancing education both inside and outside the classroom. Stephanie leads Overdeck’s early childhood portfolio which spans interventions that support families and children prenatal – 8 years old. In this role, she leads the development of strategy and grant recommendations and manages a portfolio of grantees and social enterprises, providing strategic coaching and thought partnership to increase reach, strengthen key capacities, and attract follow-on funding.

Before joining the portfolio in 2017, Stephanie worked at two edtech companies where she focused on scaling through partnerships and implementation models. Prior to that, Stephanie taught Pre-K in Baltimore City Public Schools through Teach For America. She earned her M.S. in Early Childhood Education from Johns Hopkins University, and graduated cum laude from George Washington University with a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communications.

Outside of work, Stephanie is a Board Member for the School of American Ballet, and serves on the Young Alumnae Committee for the Brearley School. She also enjoys speaking Swedish with her husband and two daughters over kanelbullar.
