Dr. Devin Dillon
Devin Dillon leads New Leaders’ strategy work related to instructional content design, facilitation and assessment. In her role as National Senior Executive Director Instructional Design, she is focused on ensuring content and facilitation is aligned to research, articulates a competency based model of leadership practice and is best in class.
Prior to joining New Leaders in August 2017, Devin led in Oakland Unified School District as Interim Superintendent, Deputy Superintendent and Chief Academic Officer. Before Oakland, Devin worked in the Los Angeles Unified School District as a Principal Supervisor and Director of Common Core for the West region. She served in Denver Public Schools for 15 years in a variety of leadership roles. Devin has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, minor in Women’s Studies from Chico State University, a Master of Arts in Contemplative Education from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado, and a PhD in Educational Administration from the University of Denver. Devin was the first in her family to graduate from college and has 2 children, George, 11 and Jack, 7.
