Devin Dillon, Ph.D.
Devin Dillon, Ph.D., currently serves as Superintendent PreK-12 Operations for the University California Los Angeles (UCLA). In this role, she oversees five schools located on the UCLA campus, including three early childhood centers, UCLA Lab School and Geffen Academy. The UCLA schools serve over 1200 children. Devin works closely with each of the school leaders to ensure a strong connection to the university and their overall operations.
As the first ever PreK-12 Superintendent, Devin is working to establish systems of support for the youngest learners on the UCLA campus.
Prior to joining UCLA, Devin worked with New Leaders as a National Senior Executive Director for Instructional Design and Leadership Networks. With New Leaders, she led the strategy work related to instructional content design, facilitation, and assessment. From 2014 to 2017, Devin held leadership positions in Oakland Unified School District as Interim Superintendent, Deputy Superintendent, and Chief Academic Officer.
Before Oakland, Devin worked in the Los Angeles Unified School District as a Principal Supervisor and Director of Common Core for the West region. She served in Denver Public Schools for 15 years in a variety of leadership roles, from teacher to principal to central office leader. Devin has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, a minor in Women’s Studies from Chico State University, a Master of Arts in Contemplative Education from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado, and a Ph.D. in Educational Administration from the University of Denver.
Devin was the first in her family to graduate from college and has 2 children, George, 13 and Jack, 9. They live in Redondo Beach, California and enjoy the beach and outdoors. She is also an avid Crossfit athlete.
