Overview

Georgia prioritizes early identification, structured literacy, evidence-based intervention, and strong family-school partnerships to help more students become confident readers. As districts work to strengthen reading outcomes and support students who need additional instruction, they are looking for approaches that accelerate student learning while complementing existing district initiatives. Springboard Collaborative supports those efforts through evidence-based intervention, meaningful family engagement, and educator support aligned with Georgia's literacy priorities.

Aligned to State Priorities

  • Universal literacy and dyslexia screening for K-3 students

    We provide bilingual Student Action Plans that help families understand screening results, set goals, and support reading growth at home.

  • Evidence-based intervention and structured literacy support for students below benchmark

    We deliver in-school Tier 2/3 intervention and additional tutoring opportunities before school, after-school, and summer.

  • High-quality instructional materials and strong family-school partnerships

    We reinforce district-selected instructional materials while providing family workshops, home-reading routines, and bilingual communication tools that strengthen literacy outcomes.

  • Literacy for Learning, Living, and Leading in Georgia (L4GA)

    Supports literacy instruction, family and community engagement, educator development, and evidence-based literacy initiatives designed to improve student outcomes.

  • HB 1193 Literacy Coach Grant

    Funds literacy coaching, educator support, and science-of-reading implementation efforts that strengthen literacy instruction across schools.

  • Building Opportunities in Out-of-School Time (BOOST)

    Supports summer, afterschool, and expanded learning programs that provide literacy acceleration and enrichment opportunities.

  • 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC)

    Funds afterschool and summer learning programs that combine academic support, literacy development, and family engagement.

  • School Improvement Funding (Section 1003)

    Supports evidence-based interventions, educator coaching, and improvement efforts in identified schools.

  • QBE Staff Development Funding

    Provides resources for professional learning, instructional coaching, and educator development initiatives.

  • Opportunity Weight Funding

    Supports evidence-based intervention, student support services, and targeted resources for students with the greatest academic needs.

  • Federal Funding

    Federal funding sources, including Title I, II, III, IV, and IDEA, may support evidence-based intervention, educator development, multilingual learner services, family engagement, and expanded learning opportunities.
