FAQ
What is Springboard Collaborative?
Answer:
Springboard Collaborative closes the literacy gap by closing the gap between home and school. We coach educators and family members to help kids learn to read by 4th grade. Springboard Collaborative envisions a world in which all children have the requisite literacy skills to access life opportunities.
Who do you partner with?
How do I bring Springboard Collaborative to my school?
Answer:
Springboard Collaborative would love to partner with you! If you’re interested in bringing Springboard Collaborative to your school community, talk to your school leader about our programs and have them express their interest at info@springboardcollaborative.org.
Teachers: What can I do if Springboard Collaborative isn’t at my school?
Answer:
We open-sourced Springboard Collaborative’s recipe for impact. Underlying our outcomes is a methodology through which teachers and parents team up to support learning at home. We call it a Family-Educator Learning Accelerator (or FELA). FELAs are 5-10-week cycles during which teachers and parents share a game plan to help kids reach growth goals. Try FELAs in your classroom!
What can I do as a family member at home?
Answer:
We strongly believe in increasing quality reading time between a child and their family. We have at-home reading resources available for children and families, and we encourage all families to read with their children for 15 minutes a day!
What differentiates the Springboard Collaborative approach?
Answer:
Springboard Collaborative relies on the untapped power of a parent’s love for their child. Parents are situated to be their child’s greatest advocate by partnering with their teacher.
