Too many Chicago fourth graders can’t read at grade level.

Thousands of children in our city lack the single, most critical skill they need to succeed in school and life. But this doesn’t have to be their story, and you can change the ending.

Springboard Collaborative has a proven solution that coaches families to become their children’s literacy partners, and we’re inviting a select group of Chicago’s most influential leaders to help us scale our impact.

About Springboard Collaborative

We transform families into literacy partners by equipping teachers with training and resources, coaching caregivers to extend classroom learning, and providing small group instruction with children—creating lasting change together.

What You’ll Lead

 • Drive visibility for Springboard throughout Chicago’s business and philanthropic communities
 • Lead fundraising to bring our programs to more Chicago schools and families
 • Open doors to other influential donors, partners, and advocates
 • Provide context to inform local programming

Your Investment

 • Time: Quarterly meetings, 2 virtual, 2 in-person. One-year term, renewable.
 • Financial: A meaningful contribution that reflects your commitment.

I have never seen a child be so excited to be in an after school they enjoy and like. It also brings them joy to see the parents come in for them.

Springboard’s Impact in Chicago Public Schools SINCE 2023

41,300 books distributed to home libraries
83% of students increased their reading proficiency
96% of parents learned new reading strategies to help their child
97% of educators said the program helped them develop as a teacher
It’s a very helpful program…that gives you great pointers on how to be more active in your kids life for school and it’s a opportunity to learn different ways to teach your kids new things.
